This book has arrived at a right hour during the 125th birth anniversary of poet Bharati. It is a research work which brings light to the much unknown picture of the great poet. We all know Bharati - a poet, creative writer (stories & essays), a cartoonist, journalist, translator, and lyrict. But it is less known that he was a great orator too.
This book gives from reliable sources the gist of lectures presented by Bharati in arranged hall meetings i.e Karungalpalayam library, Pondicherry Progressive Union Cricket Club, Karaikkudi Hindu Madabimana Sangam, Tamil Association of Presidency College Madras, Banaras pooja hall,  and public addresses rendered in places like-  Pottalapudur mosque, Thiruvannamalai, Cuddalore, and Triplicane sea shore meetings etc.
It is recorded in this special book that Bharati had established himself as an eloquent speaker and kept his audience in spell bound. He also showed keen interest in training young people including girls to speak in front of selected audience on various topics to be discussed at that particular moment aiming for Liberty, Equality and Fratarnity. Bharati though strssed and strained by financial constraints and heavy opposition from rulers police and the fundamentalists, stood for Sathyam and Dharmam.
Bharati used very intresting mass communication techniques to attract the public, for example, advanced announcements, distribution of printed notices display of posters and singing loudly leading to a collective Bajan and arranging plotform techniques to carry the voice to reach out a larger crowed even without a mike or loudspeeker.
The author has researched methodically in collecting the basic substance. The drafts of the lectures given by Bharati were collected by the author from the various resources such as original writings of Bharati, narrations from Bharati’s admirers such as ie. Va.Ra., P.Shri, Ra. Kanagalingam, Bharatidasan etal. More materials were drawn from the official reports submitted by C.I.D cops, presently kept in archives.
The 256 pages of the book contain a very substantial and authentic materials on Bharati’s speeches which gives space for further studies and higher research.
